Safety relief valve, position 2. The safety valve protects against the risk of overpressure at the blower and underpressure at the vacuum pump. Reduces the operating pressure to a fixed set point. The valve is installed on the inlet or outlet line. It is possible to set the desired pressure within the valve range.
BLSV valves are used to limit the pressure or vacuum on blower and side channel pumps. When pressure or vacuum is reached, the valve opens and prevents the blower design limit from being exceeded when the blower internals are connected to the atmosphere. Depending on the design of the equipment, the discharge connection can be opened directly to the atmosphere or directed into the discharge pipe.Pressure acting on the spring-loaded cap. The valve starts to open when the air pressure overcomes the spring force. When the pressure drops below the set pressure, the valve closes.
VALVE CALIBRATION:
Using an inline gauge/vacuum gauge:
1 - Turn on the fan.
2 - Gradually close the inlet until the maximum operating point of the blower (mbar), at which point the valve must complete opening and maintain a constant pressure.
3 - Unscrew the circular nut and adjust the valve. Once you have reached the correct position, fasten the ring nut.
Alternatively
Using a clamp meter:
1 - Turn on the fan.
2 - Gradually close the inlet until the maximum operating point of the blower (Amp), at which point the valve must complete opening and maintain a constant pressure.
3 - Unscrew the circular nut and adjust the valve. Once you have reached the correct position, fasten the ring nut.
