The optical sensor AO006 is one of the retroreflective sensors that are used in combination with the reflector (AA950 / AA951 corner mirror). The key advantage of using a photoelectric sensor with a polarizing filter in combination with a triple mirror is that the probability of switching errors is minimized by highly reflective objects (e.g. Safety vests, etc.). The light is focused on a triple mirror and is cast at 90°. The polarizing filter only allows this self-emitting light beam through sensor switching. Even highly reflective metal objects can be detected as an object because their reflected radiation is stopped by a polarizing filter.
